Trinity has always been active in ministries and outreach in downtown Phoenix. Our outreach includes feeding the homeless, providing a venue for the visual and performing arts, offering meeting and rehearsal space for many Phoenix community groups, and stepping forward as a spiritual and religious center for profound events affecting all in our city and nation.
Our church has been an incubator space for many non-profit organizations over its long history, and we continue strong relationships with the Cathedral Center for the Arts and Cathedral Health Services. We are also proud to be the performing and administrative home of the Grammy Award-winning and world-renown Phoenix Chorale.
The Cathedral also is blessed with a rapidly expanding formation program for children, youth, and young adults. We offeryoung peopleopportunities for distinctive and engaging programs appropriate for their age level.
Trinity is the Diocese’s sole church in the downtown core. The Cathedral's energies weave through the life of theurban Phoenix community, hosting the Cathedral Center for the Arts' monthly First Friday art gallery openings and concerts. Our Labyrinth courtyard provides a lovely desert park setting to our surrounding neighbors for meditation, prayer, or simply sitting to enjoy lunch or reading.
Currently, more than 1000 people comprise Trinity’s active congregation, with an average Sunday attendance of nearly 500. Our members represent a diverse and inclusive cross section of the population in age, income, occupation, and lifestyle. Many people believesostrongly in the Cathedral's mission that they travel from surrounding suburbsto Sunday services at ourdowntown church.
Today, Trinity Cathedral sets its sights outward to continue a life of ministry and service to the community to which it is called. It promises to be an exciting time, as Phoenix’s downtown landscape is rapidly transformed.
With a proud and storied past, Trinity looks to the future, secure in knowing that whatever may lie ahead, God is with us.
